The Best Moment of Malaysia Week

On Malaysia Week, I over came ( not really) one of my biggest fears , rats. My 2 room mates, Sarah and Jessica and I were sitting on our bed, just talking about the day when suddenly we heard a loud rustling sound. We all screamed ( me the most) and I jumped onto the table which had all of my stuff on it, I was so scared that I didn't care that I was stepping all over my clothes, toothbrush etc. They were laughing really hard and started taking pictures as I was clinging on to the window for dear life, even though they were just as scared. Well maybe not AS scared :) So we started shouting, probably waking everyone up, and one of our sponsors, Ms. Lao, ran up to see what was the problem. She had brought the repair guy also, so while i was shimmying and shaking, my room mates explained the problem. As the sponsor left, the guy shined the flashlight on the noise, and there was a big fat rat!!!! It was eating my room mates pretzels!!! This time we all screamed, and I well... howled. The dude found a hole, which was not humanly possibly for a rat to squeeze through, and he stuck sticks into it and left. We stayed up for a little while longer than fell asleep. At 1 30am we woke up to the sound of 4 rats fighting. We ran as fast as we could to our other site leader's cabin. We were to scared to knock on the door because there were giant geckos, so we used the window instead. I was the tallest one, so i was leaning over the banister and I fell. It wasn't very far, but we had a hard time pulling me back up. When I did eventually get back up, I leaned once more and this time successfully knocked on the window as the others screamed "MR. MCQUEEN!!!!!" When he came down to our room, he told us that the rats were in our wall, and they could come into our main room via the bathroom. So we all slept in the same bed (very uncomfortable small bed) with the mosquito net down. So that's how we survived on the 2nd night of MW :) What a great story right?
